Gillian & Nick January 2012 – St Georges Church & Mabie House Hotel Dumfries

Gillian & Nick were married in the brides family church of St Georges in Dumfries. The moment I arrived to start shooting , the friendly community spirit was apparant. Every person in the building knew Gillian and her family and everyone was there to support the couple through their vows and marriage.

After a relaxed and personal ceremony they celebrated with family and friends at Mabie House Hotel. The cosy lounge and bar area of Mabie House were perfect to heat up and hide from the windy and wet day outside. The wedding breakfast was decorated with a Theatre theme as the couple both work in Belfast Theatre groups. My day ended after the speeches and I said a fond farewell to all the wonderful guests I met throughout the day.

The bride wore a beautiful vintage wedding dress which she customised to suit her style, the veil was her mothers.

Nick and his best man were calm and collected until the music started.
Gillian looked like an angel as the sun shone through the windows of St Georges during the ceremonyGillian carried a special photo of her grandmothers as she walked down the aisle with her father.

A very proud Dad during his speech! (Lump in my throat here!)
